2018 “Sino-France Fashion Date” (Hangzhou) staged at ZSTU
To further the fashion exchanges between China and France, the Cultural and Educational Cooperation Division of French Embassy in China as well as Business France jointly launched the “Sino-France Fashion Date”, a platform for the two countries to have dialogues in the field of fashion. The first “Sino-France Fashion Date” (Hangzhou), held by General Consulate of France in Shanghai and undertaken by ZSTU, was staged at ZSTU from April 21 to 22. the two-day “Sino-France Fashion Date” was rich in contents, including fashion forum, Sino-France university student creation competition as well as educational and vocational exhibition, etc, and immersed people in the fashion ecological system.
On the morning of April 21, the opening ceremony of the event was held at the lecture hall on the third floor of the Silk Museum of ZSTU. Doctor and education consul Xia Ruisi of General Consulate of France in Shanghai, ZSTU vice president Gao Zhengrong, director Shu Peidong of Division of Foreign Affairs of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, chairman Zhang Qinghui of China Fashion Association, etc, presented at the opening ceremony and addressed, which was hosted by Fu Xiang.
Gao Zhengrong expressed his welcome and gratitude to the present Chinese and French guests as well as the teachers and students, and subsequently gave an introduction to the schooling as well as the characteristic majors of fashion, costume and accessory, etc, of ZSTU. He further emphasized that the series of activities of the event was significant for the school to strengthen the international cooperation of fashion and to build up a first-rate fashion university. The smooth operation of the activities would play a positive role in promoting the construction of fashion majors, talent cultivation as well as cooperation with relevant colleges and enterprises concerning fashion in China and France. Finally, he wished the present “Sino-France Fashion Date” a great success.
Xia Ruisi, Shu Peidong and Zhang Qinghui respectively delivered their speeches, and expressed their supports for the development of Chinese and French fashion industry and their expectations for the present event.
At the opening ceremony, secretary Ji Xiaofeng of the Communist Party General Branch as well as dean Zora Gerault of Esmod Guangzhou gave their theme speeches.
Director Li Jingning of the Textile Office of the Zhejiang Province Economic and Information Commission hosted the first round-table conference, with the theme of “Fashion industry: trend, dilemma and innovation”, and general manager Ma Tingfang of WENSLI, deputy general manager Wang Honghui of Haining China Leather City Co., Ltd, board chairman Li Lijun of CIXING, renowned couture designer Grace Chen, president Pierre Tabli of La French Bpotique as well as associate professor Shen Bin of Donghua University presented at the conference and gave speeches.
On the afternoon of the day, the second round-table conference with the theme of “Sino-France fashion education mutual-reference” was held successfully, which was hosted by director Sheng Qing of the Division of Academic Affairs of ZSTU. Dean Chantal Fouque of the Fashion School of La Fabrique, director Adile Cretallaz of Sino-France Effie Fashion Institute, vocational education executive Thibault Curmi of French Embassy in China, Tra Nguyen of Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, board chairman Ding Wujie of Excellent Fashion, etc, presented at the conference and gave their speeches. Principal Marianne Conde-Salazar of the International Department of Industrial Education of CCIP gave a theme speech on fashion.
The event staged a China-France college student fashion creation competition on-spot question and answer session with the creative theme concept of “green ecology”. Ultimately, the commercial plan Textile Offcut Environment-protection Creative Design, brought by ClenmentDecombe of French SKEMA Business School, Yuan Yuan and Cui Qiuxia of French ESMOD international as well as students Zhang Lu and Fu Zenan of Fashion School of ZSTU, won the excellence prize. The event lasted for 9 days, during which the competition participation teams visited and surveyed in China Ting Group, vice president Liu Gang of the group, an alumnus graduating in 1985, received the participation teams, teachers and students. The students from various universities of France and China sufficiently displayed their diverse notional results of innovation and creation, jointly explored the opportunities of global fashion industry and development, and the event brought the fashion students to a far wider horizon.
On April 22, “Sino-France Fashion Date”-2018 Sino-France Fashion Education and Vocation Exhibition was staged on the first floor of the Silk Museum. Xia Ruisi, Gao Zhengrong, as well as general manager Yang Liliang of the Europe-Asia Educational Center of Shinway Education, attended the opening ceremony and gave their speeches.
The present education exhibition included over 20 units from China and France, where people went to the various units to learn relevant information, and a series of small-scale lectures and workshops were held and many students went to have visit, consultation and exchanges. The education exhibition was not only a platform for universities, institutes and enterprises, but an opportunity for students to have close contact to learn about renowned Chinese and French fashion educational institutions, and provided much new information concerning international fashion education and industry.
